Simplex SLJ - 28.0 to 28.6 mm clamp-on mount - Simplex "starburst" logo on facing of the hinged clamp - light aluminum alloy body, hinged clamp, and outer pivot arm (chrome plated steel inner pivot arm) - Clear anodized finish - Gold foil badge with stylized "Simplex" logo in Black on outer pivot arm - chrome plated steel cage having Simplex "starburst" logo and a series of three open windows on its outer facing - front pull design with hinged clamp pivot pin cable pass-through - pre 1978 "corner profiled" leading edge style cage plates - post 1974 black plastic chain bushing - 20 tooth maximum capacity - 120 grams - model SLJ (Super Lucien Juy) A 500 ... [USED - this highly coveted front derailleur is in superb condition without much evidence of imperfection other than minor markings to be found on the inner cage plate consistent with light use and the slightest bit of blemish to the Simplex badging (...and to view that, you need to be right up on top of this component with a good set of eyes) - the chrome plating is near perfect, there is no chamfering to any of the bolt or screw heads, the anodized finish on the derailleur body is unblemished, and the action is smooth and crisp - this is a good as it gets with respect to a front derailleur which has actually seen use and was not just mounted onto a "show only" display bike]
