<------------------ SOLD ------------------> Stronglight 99 bis crankset - 28/42/48 triple - 86 mm BCD (USED)
Stronglight 99 bis crankset - 86 mm BCD - 28/42/48 Clear anodized aluminum alloy chain rings / 48 tooth ring having a threaded chain "roll off" pin / post 1972 "rounded" tooth profile - 170 mm forged aluminum alloy arms / Clear anodized finish (removed) / 14 mm x 1.25 mm French pedal threads / post 1981 22.0 mm x 1 mm cap threads - model 99 bis : Stronglight dust caps - vacuum chrome coated plastic - slotted key release - model 501 : Stronglight chain ring bolts - chrome plated steel - 5 mm Allen key release - model 61 (hex nut) / 73 (spacer) / 74 (threaded sleeve) ... [USED - this crankset was purchased from an eBay seller in France who unfortunately saw fit to "clean it up" prior to shipping using something akin to a power drill mounted wire wheel thereby removing all traces of the original anodized finish and leaving deep scratches in the surface areas (...ugh) - given the expense involved in its return, I decided instead to sand and polish out all of those scratch marks that were evident and sell it off at a loss, but whatever crisp detail may once may have existed is now long gone - very light use to both the 28 and 48 tooth rings, but the 42 has definitely seen mileage - assembled loose and dry (...which is to say that one ought apply a dab of anti-seize compound to the chain ring bolt threads before torquing everything down to proper tension) - the French metric pedal threads on the crank arms can easily be re-cut to standard / 9/16" x 20 TPI using a proper set of conversion taps, and I can perform this service at no charge upon request - please note: the chain ring bolts depicted in this series of photographs have been changed out for a different set of genuinely proper replacements having the Stronglight name on their head]
