CHAIN:
Sedis - 1/2" x 3/32" (12.7 mm x 2.38 mm) narrow profile - duo-tone "Argent / Noire" or "Silver / Black" finish - bushingless design with inner floating link - chamfered plates - Delta hardened pins - model Sedisport 4 DCI-AB ... [Correct as original excepting its finish coloration. Upon its introduction in 1978, the Sedisport chain instantly rendered all of its competitors, predecessors, and contemporaries obsolete (...which is why it is difficult to find anything other than this type of chain in production even to this day). With its ingenious and revolutionary "bushingless" design, the original Sedisport 4 D not only shifted smoother than anything else on the market, it was also 30 percent stronger and more durable, had 20 percent fewer moving parts, and weighed substantially less than any previous design using the same materials. A functional equivalent to that very Sedisport chain having a "d'Or" or "Gold" finish which came as original equipment on this particular Pino Morroni, the similarly early 1980’s vintage model of duo-tone Sedisport now fitted as its replacement is merely a change in aesthetics begot of my personal belief that its unusual color combination is better suited to the revamped motif now in evidence on this bicycle.]
