Sedis (modified) - 1/2" x 3/32" (12.7 mm x 2.38 mm) narrow profile - duo-tone "Argent / Noire" or "Silver / Black" finish - bushingless design with inner floating link - chamfered plates - Delta hardened pins - custom drilled individual links - model Sedisport 4 DCI-AB ... [Upon its introduction in 1978, the Sedisport chain instantly rendered all of its competitors, predecessors, and contemporaries obsolete (...which is why it is difficult to find anything other than this type of chain in production even to this day). With its ingenious and revolutionary "bushingless" design, the original Sedisport 4 D not only shifted smoother than anything else on the market, it was also 30 percent stronger and more durable, had 20 percent fewer moving parts, and weighed substantially less than any previous design using the same materials. And while it is the functional equivalent and otherwise near identical to the earlier "Noire" or all Black 4 D in appearance, the duo-tone Sedisport 4 DCI-AB chain seen here actually dates from the early 1980's. Its selection for use was begot of the unusual duo-tone color combination found on this chain which I believe provides a highly complementary esthetic given the motif of this particular bike, and also in consideration of the fact that the 4 DCI-AB is only one very small step removed in its lineage from the original Sedisport 4 D. Those Graftek G-1 models which were sold new as a "complete" bike would have typically come equipped with a Regina 50 Corsa chain.]
