Campagnolo Record (modified) - pre 1978 non-fluted one piece cast aluminum alloy construction without any "limit line" - pre 1978 two bolt dual pivot clamp with solid pivot boss - 23 mm offset - 180 mm x 26.0 mm having a 23.8 mm milled "step down" shaft - model 1044 (factory modified) : E.T.A. seat post hardware - Black anodized 7075/T6 Ergal aluminum alloy - M7 x 30 mm HHCS / M7 aluminum alloy barrel nuts - grouped model ETA-505 ... [Very nearly correct as original, to the extent that all Graftek G-1 bicycles, regardless whether they were originally sold as a frameset only or as a "complete" bike, came with one of these modified Campagnolo Record two bolt seat posts that were unique to this marque. However, this particular seat post has been further modified by virtue of it having a set of E.T.A. Ergal alloy barrel nuts and adjusting bolts installed in lieu of the standard Campagnolo steel fittings. In retrospect, I find it somewhat curious that anyone would select a 26.0 mm Campagnolo two bolt post as the basis upon which to craft a Graftek specific component rather than a 25.0 mm unit which would have been the smallest sizing that Campy produced during that era and which also would have required the removal of less material in the process of modification. Perhaps the intent was to remove as much aluminum as possible in an effort to reduce overall weight without subsequently compromising structural integrity of the component, or perhaps sourcing a steady supply of the smaller 25.0 mm Campagnolo seat posts, which have always been somewhat difficult to find, proved to be more of a challenge than they wished to assume.]
