Michel Laurent (1977)

Michel Laurent is seen here competing in the brief 5 km individual time trial event that constituted the prologue to the 1977 Tour de France. After claiming eighth place in the prologue (...13 seconds back of stage winner Didi Thurau), Laurent would ultimately go on to finish seventh place overall in the general classification in support of team captain and eventual race winner Bernard Thevenet during the 1977 edition of the Tour - that being his first year riding for Peugeot-Esso-Michelin after moving from the Miko-deGribaldi-Superia team.
