Charles Rouxel (1973)

This photograph taken 20 kilometers into the 1973 François le Championnat (...the French National Road Race Championship) captures Gerard Moneyron (GAN-Mercier), Charles Rouxel (Peugeot-BP-Michelin), and Raymond Riotte (Sonolor) making the first break from the peloton. While Moneyron and Rouxel would continue wheel to wheel for 160 kilometers, Riotte would eventually be dropped when he flatted with a puncture.
