STEM:
Cinelli model 1/Record (1R) - aluminum alloy - Clear anodized finish - 22.0 mm quill - 26.4 mm size clamp - 115 mm length - patented single bolt "hidden" non-quick release - pre 1979 Cino Cinelli era "CINELLI MILANO" oval top logo and "MADE IN ITALY - CINELLI - BREV 999401" front logo - "cone nut" style expansion fitting - model 1/Record (1R) ... [All commercialized versions of the PY-10 made available to the general public on a custom order basis from 1975 through 1981 were provisioned having some form of Peugeot labeled Philippe ATAX Competition stem in a length corresponding to that which was stipulated on its corresponding order form. However, upon their debut at the Grand Prix du Midi-Libri in May of 1974 and continuing thereafter until Peugeot ultimately withdrew their official sponsorship in 1987, genuine Peugeot-BP-Michelin / Peugeot-Esso-Michelin / Peugeot-Shell-Michelin PY-10 CP and later PY-10 FC team bikes were fitted with either a Cinelli model 1A or 1R stem in conjunction with a matching set of Cinelli handlebars, the specifics of which were subject to individual rider preference. Because a certain measure of subjectivity was allowed in this regard, the 1977 racing season saw a preponderance of Peugeot-Esso-Michelin team riders, including Bernard Thevenet, having the Cinelli 1R stem mounted onto their bicycles, with but a few notable exceptions such as Jacques Esclassan opting instead to affix a Cinelli 1A.]
