<------------------ SOLD ------------------> MAFAC 429 brake levers - aluminum bodies - post 1979 (NOS)
MAFAC Professionnel 429 - racing type brake levers - traditional non-aero cable routing - post 1976 integrated cable adjusters having a "knurled gum hood" - post 1979 standard aluminum alloy bodies - "full style" translucent gum hoods - factory "drilled" Clear anodized aluminum alloy levers / post 1979 with 30 hole (15 holes per side) lever blades / post 1979 "wide" profile lever blades - patented stainless steel mounting clips / post 1979 split band - model Course 429 ... [NOS (...kinda) - actually, I built up these levers from a host NOS parts excepting the bodies themselves which were used items (...of course they were cleaned up, and besides, no one is ever going to see either of those lever bodies now that the gum hoods are properly installed over them) - unlike the myriad MAFAC brake levers of this type seen offered for sale on the likes of eBay, these have the not often seen these days aluminum alloy bodies as opposed to the post 1979 optional Black composite bodies - one of the advantages of utilizing aluminum bodies is that they better facilitate the ability to tune your brake levers so as to minimize any trigger resistance (...a pet peeve of mine), and in fact, I have taken the opportunity to do so here such that they now quite literally "fall open" when subjected to but the slightest effects of gravity - these particular brake levers are so nice that I am sorely tempted to keep them for my own use (...if only I had a ready use for them)]
