[NOS / NIB - absolutely perfect condition - considered by many to be the finest bottom bracket assembly produced during the late 1970’s through 1980’s - unlike its Campagnolo Super Record counterpart which was notably flexible and subject to the occasional and most inopportune failure (...just ask Laurent Fignon) due to its slender spindle being crafted from relatively low strength Commercially Pure (CP) titanium, the the O.M.A.S. 130 Titanio unit utilized a hollowed spindle which was constituted of a stronger alloyed version of 6/4 titanium (...6% aluminum and 4% vanadium with the remaining 90% being titanium - roughly three times stronger than pure titanium), which enabled it to much better withstand the rigors of competitive use - additionally, the O.M.A.S. design does not employ a traditional fixed cup, but rather, incorporates adjustable aluminum alloy cups on both the drive and non-drive sides of the unit thereby allowing one the ability to very precisely fine tune their chain line for optimal performance]
