Specialites T.A. - water bottle cage - down tube mount - 74 mm aluminum - satin finish with Black plastic top guide / clip (...first edition having only a T.A. "chain ring" logo) - model 417 ... [This lightweight aluminum alloy version of the T.A. bottle cage debuted back in 1973 and then continued on in production with only minimal alteration well into the 1980’s (...other than the eventual availability of color anodized versions, the plastic top guide being the only true evolutionary modification - the earliest versions as seen here had a ribbed front side with a T.A. "chain ring" logo molded into their backside whereas second edition models incorporated an "alphabet logo" on their front as well as a "chain ring" logo on their back, while third editions featured only an "alphabet logo" on their facing with no relevant markings whatsoever on their backside). Although not explicitly itemized as an accessory to be included with purchase of a contemporary PY-10 according to any of the various factory or dealer publications of which I am aware, the model 417 Specialities T.A. aluminum bottle cage is nevertheless clearly depicted in association with said model within the French language edition of the 1978 Peugeot catalog.]
