Bernard Bourreau (1973)
Bernard Bourreau, seen here wearing the Maillot Tricolore Amateur (...the French Amateur National Champion jersey), would be the highest placing Frenchman in the 1973 edition of the Tour de l’Avenir by finishing at third place overall - a repeat of his performance in this same event from the previous year when he also stood on the podium representing third place. Note the use of braze-on mounted MAFAC Criterium cantilever brakes on his Peugeot.
